A note.

Love,

Even after all the times we've parted it's still tough as nails. We'll get by, of course, but I'm going to miss you like crazy. I thought you should know, know that I don't know what this'll be like. I do know that it'll be alright in the end. We can think about Paris and London, or remember Co. C. I'll spend time in B&Coco. thinking only of you. I'll love you, madly, all day, everyday as I have grown accustomed to doing. Beyond that it's the next adventure. I found a quote I thought you might like:

I have come to the conclusion, after many years of sometimes sad experience, that you cannot come to any conclusion at all.

— Vita Sackville-West

So I won't come to any conclusions I'll simply say: enjoy; I love you; I always will.

Yours, etc.

Such a fashionable child...

Remember,

Yours, etc.

I think...

I also found this, the picture I sent you to cheer you up. I do think you are groegous, you know.

Yours, etc.

readprint.com

I thought I'd find a useful way to brighten your morning. I found a website www.readprint.com, it has a number of 'classic' books like Paradise Lost, 1984 and Jane Eyre on it. Just in case you get desperately bored on your travels and are out of things to read.

Yours, etc.

The Beauty of the Banal

I just found this other blog at thebeautyofthebanal.blogspot.com. It's run by a photographer, Terence Chin, who seems to simply post his pictures every now and then. I saw this and thought about your new bike. No doubt your new one will be more shiny.

Yours, etc.

Leonard Cohen

I almost went to bed
without remembering
the four white violets
I put in the button-hole
of your green sweater

and how I kissed you then
and you kissed me,
shy as though I'd
never been your lover.

(from The Spice-Box of Earth)

Apropos of nothing.

nightshirt |ˈnītˌ sh ərt|
noun
a long, loose shirt worn to bed.

About those pretty dresses

I'm not sure I've ever mentioned this artist to you. His name is Arthur Rackham, the illustrator of the Grimm brothers' fairy tales. Thought you might like his stuff anyway.

Yours, etc.

Questionable Morals...

Right is the Helmut Newton you found for me, over a year ago now. I thought I should put it where we can find it again.

Yours, etc.

The Very Beginning.

So first things first, the list:

1. create a blog
2. go swimming
3. eat a meal once a day
4. learn something deadly on the drums
5. spend time in Co. C.
6. make white sauce
7. go to a play
8. read 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt
9. make a shirt that N'll be jealous of (of which N'll be jealous)
10. write to someone famous (or less so) that I think is great, just to tell them that I think they're great
11. climb a mountain (or something mountainesque)
12. save all my lovin'
13. have tea in B&Coco on my own and read or write or whatever
14. paint my toenails a crazy colour that reminds me of N
15. get a new hat as sexy as my old one
16. tell the bike shop N is away

Some things'll prove to be harder than the first, my old hat was pretty damn sexy. But I will try my damnedest for you, N.

Yours, etc.
