30.12.2010

Look at this photo and tell me what you see.

I'll tell you what I see. I see pride! I see power! I see a bad-ass mother who don't take no crap off of nobody!

I heard today didn't go as amazingly super-wonderful as yesterday did so I thought you might like a reminder that I believe in you, as do all people who were ever in any way connected to the wonder of cinematic art that is "Cool Runnings".

I took the liberty of also including (on the post below) 40 Motivational Speeches that may be useful. One, and only one section does not apply and that's where the chap in 12 Angry Men (?) suggests it's a lost cause. It is anything but. You can still break and win this thang.

As last I heard you were on straight seconds. Regardless of how well you did in the last round today 10 points could never put you out of the break. So kick ass and don't bother taking names! The Cliquot is still chilling in my fridge.

I love you.

Yours etc,

40 Inspirational Speeches in 2 Minutes

Dear Darla...

Hey there,

I hope Botswana is treating you well so far! Sorry I didn't email sooner, the internet connection on this bus is pretty poor. :)

I've been meaning to add these pictures for ages, so this gives me a good excuse. From your text message earlier I assume that you have internet in the auld accommodation, I hope that the ethernet cable is vaguely useful and, indeed, that the iPod is fulfilling its purpose. I'll let you know when my phone starts having internet on it too, should be soon enough.

It's pouring rain here so the ice and snow are fading away but it means everything is very dull and grey. I'm sure the weather in Gaborone is slightly less freezing cold. Keep me posted on how all the things are yonder and I'll do the same here. The next set of photos I'ma keep until I be posting again which will be tomorrow or the day after.

If for some reason I'm not talking to you before your debates start, kick ass and take names, dahlink. I love you.

Yours, etc.
K
